hi folks, anne nice I have been remembered,i forgot to renew my membership but i have not been too good so wasn't really bothered but I did miss having a read through and having a laugh sometimes, so I bit the bullet and paid up, I think I ran myself out with running around after every one at the wedding which I have said was really good,it all went very smooth, the other parents had tears in their eyes too when the piper started up as they have Scottish ancestors,my brother in law and his wife for once were speechless, it was so hard to keep the secret, the best man knew and the hotel manager and I had to tell the registrar due to her timing of the ceremony but that was all,my daughter and I were all over the place as we had our cars but worth it,i now know where train/bus stations and airports are here,we even got a fly past out over the sea,not my idea but its was lovely just happened at the right time,we found out that a film crew were at southwold movie making, adam laughed and said he reckoned it was his late father giving him his wedding present,
how has it been on here doesn't look like there is a lot of us now,i see rich is doing well good for him, I will try and catch up but will take time, dorothy

Welcome back Dorothy from one of the more recent joiners.

As Suzanne says it's not such an active site these days but I think that it's a much more friendly and sociable group than the alternative - Health Unlocked.

Oh, thanks Dorothy.
Had looked out for you.
What a fantastic idea for the piper and such good memories. Not surprised you needed a break after
all that emotion. Take care, are you knitting for the baby? Do keep us up to date
Hugs Anne

Hello Dorothy! I too vanished for a while but missed the advice and friendship of those who fully understand. I'm glad you are back. The wedding sounded lovely. My son was married last August and I sometimes just sit and relive the day and smile!

Take care, looking forward to hearing more of your adventures soon x Ailsa

Hi Dorothy, nice to see you posting again. I'm glad the wedding went well - sounds lovely.

There aren't so many of us on the forum these days - lots of people left and went to Facebook, and I don't suppose we'll see them on here again. Never mind, still some 'old stagers' about!

Take care,

Kathleen x

thanks guys, its so good to feel wanted,i will NOT be knitting I have tried in the past and ended up with 2 left thumbed mits and a hat that ended up fit only for the teapot and a very angry aunt who was teaching me,i did try crochet but well!!!! all those holes so I will supply wool to a friend who has said she will do some little things for me, I have now got a spare room that looks like a mothercare warehouse as my son went to the asda baby thingy when it was on,i have my uses, the health unlocked site paul I tried that but kept forgetting where I had posted so gave up and I don't do facebook I did try that too but got 3 males attention, did not invite them in but they just kept at me,i freaked out and closed the account,i was worried that I could get hacked,ok was a bit over the top but....only used it to see photos of family still in Scotland, now I do email or just good old phoning these days,
we had a really lovely sunny day here yesterday so I cut my grass tidied up the place as I felt good and had some energy, I came in when I finished made a coffee and YES promptly fell asleep,i will never get this pacing thing right, today I am getting dragged(willingly) to Norwich for a wedding fare by my daughter and her pal so I hope they have a lot of seats dotted around, will let you know how it goes,ah the joys of parenthood!,dorothy

Hello Dorothy

Lovely that you have returned.

How did the fish idea go at the wedding? I seem to remember your daughter in law wanted fish in bowls on the tables?
I come on the forum now and then, but sadly many people have moved on.

I don't do Facebook or health unlocked - not interest me.

BigGrin happy to see you back!

Love
Jane

thanks folks,OH THE FISH at the wedding, I hated the idea,it was seen on don't ask the bride by my son and went from there,i must admit it went down very well, one of the female staff fed them and my son put in air pellets then his friends girlfiriend took the whole lot for her new pond all £40 pounds worth she got a damn good bargain out of it but at least they went to a good home, the couple sent me a photo of the happy fish,i am such a woose when it comes to animals, his friend from Norway asked me what was going to happen to fish I thought it funny he is nearly 7ft and such a softy,he was happy they got a home,i ended up with one of his pals scooping for fish to put into one bowl (there were 5 bowls of 2 fish) and me with a shot glass topping up the water, then after we got it sorted I realised I could just have tipped the water in from another bowl and I was only drinking water, got to be ageism, but it went well,
my daughter is going to vegas just the 2 of them she says its safer and a party when they get back in late 2015,will I ever get a holiday again!!! between weddings big birthdays and babies,at least its not boring here, dorothy

just a note,my daughter in law has had her 20week scan and they are having a boy, just glad everything is going well, must admit did think it was a boy as she is so neat, they have now got another house so its been a mad rush to redo it to their taste so 3 skips later and a lot of paint and help from their pals we have a nearly new looking home for them, just the flooring and curtains to go well as long as no water leaks from new plumbing, they move in,be nice as nearer to me for visits and round the corner from her parents so good job there, dorothy
